All of the men named as freeholders here were listed as 40-shilling freeholders. Their landlord was Colonel John Ogle, husband of Julia Eliza Barton (daughter of Susanna [Jackson] Barton, and niece of Richard Jackson); and the townland of Clarkhill [Clarkill] was described as “Property of Colnl Ogle.”
