A Claim for Exemption from the Draft

“Do you claim exemption from draft (specify grounds)?”
“Yes Claim Murder”

Berkeley, California, 1965?

Nope.

East Grand Forks, Minnesota, 1917.

WWI draft registration card for Ernest Michael Sullivan, son of Michael Joseph Sullivan and Helen Elizabeth Moran:

Ernest M. Sulivan [Sullivan], United States, World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, Minnesota.
Ernest M. Sulivan [Sullivan], United States, World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, Minnesota, Minneapolis City no 1; D-Z; database: www.familysearch.org.
Apparently Ernest Michael Sullivan did see service overseas during World War I, so I guess his claim for exemption was denied. Good for him for registering an objection, though.
